During the COVID-19 pandemic, Life is Work recognized multiple gaps in services/programming specific to transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) communities of color. living on Chicago's westside. Life Is Work has built partnerships with local housing Experts and medical provides to address these gaps in services. Across the Chicagoland area linking over 400 Black and brown trans-identified individuals to much-needed resources and services.
Is to Utilizes Workforce Development, a Day Labor Model that offers participants of the program the opportunity to gain income while learning life skills through our Solidarity Resale Store. The Resale Store is the catalyst to providing equitable opportunities, while providing Job Training, Job Placement, Health and Housing Stability.
is to bring awareness to all Communities to be more responsive to the needs and interests of marginalized communities, specifically Black and Brown TGNC Communities . We are committed to mobilizing resources to offer robust and sustainable programming to TGNC Communities of Color seeking help.

We believe support is essential when Social Distancing has become our new social practice, and the financial disparity has hit our community hard. We offer assistance with Food "Gift Cards" Personal Hygiene/ Safety kits, and Utility payments.

Life Is Work aims to provide a multi-tiered approach to help during the pandemic. The TGNCNB community of color, are at even greater risk due to vulnerabilities in the community. With the national curfew, many are forced off the streets, where survival is key to basic life. We need your help to serve this community.
